A large glazed ceramic figurine of a seated calico cat produced by Just Cats and Co. of Staffordshire, England. The piece is realistically modelled with the head tilted in an inquisitive pose. The decoration features hand-painted patches of black and ginger over a white ground, finished with a high-gloss clear glaze. It is detailed with inset-style amber-coloured eyes and painted facial features including whiskers and a pink nose. The base bears a circular backstamp in black ink with the text Staffordshire, Just Cats and Co., England.
