Another Great Auction
A silver-plated spirit kettle on stand of compressed circular form with a highly polished finish. The kettle features an overhead fixed handle with a heat-resistant grip and a hinged lid topped with a matching finial. The body is decorated with an applied scrolling foliate cartouche and a curved spout with moulded leaf details. The separate stand consists of four scrolling legs with foliate shoulders, terminating in paw feet. A central removable spirit burner is housed within the stand, complete with a chain-linked snuffer and adjustment key. Four small unidentified maker’s marks or pseudo-hallmarks are present on the upper rim of the kettle’s body.
