Another Great Auction
A silver plated tea caddy of elongated octagonal form with canted corners, designed in the George III neoclassical style. The piece features a stepped, hinged lid surmounted by a cast foliate bud finial. Each side of the body is embellished with a cast lion-mask handle, each supporting a loose circular drop ring. The interior of the caddy is highly polished. No visible hallmarks, assay marks, or maker’s marks were identified during inspection.
