Another Great Auction
This Edwardian sterling silver crumb scoop features a wide, plain, slightly curved pan. It is joined to a long, decorative handle by a stylized foliate and shell-form mount. The handle is designed in the Egyptian Revival style, terminating in a cast and chased figure of a woman, possibly a priestess, wearing a traditional headdress and flowing robes. The stem of the handle is further embellished with a repeating embossed geometric and foliate border. The handle bears a full set of British hallmarks including the maker mark G and S Co Ld for the Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Co Ltd.
