Another Great Auction
A vintage open-face pocket watch by Smiths. The timepiece features a white dial with black Roman numeral hour markers and a perimeter minute track. It includes black spade-style hour and minute hands and a subsidiary seconds dial located at the 6 o’clock position. The dial is marked SMITHS below the 12 o’clock position and MADE IN GT. BRITAIN at the bottom edge. The case is constructed from gold-tone metal, likely gold-plated base metal, featuring engine-turned decoration to the reverse with a central vacant circular cartouche. The watch is powered by a manual wind movement.
