Another Great Auction
Three UK coins from the reign of Queen Victoria, including an 1851 silver threepence, a smaller silver denomination, and a copper-alloy coin. The silver threepence displays the reverse design of a crowned numeral 3 within an oak wreath, split by the date 1851. All three coins feature the Queen Victoria Young Head portrait on the obverse with the legend VICTORIA D:G: BRITANNIAR: REGINA F:D:. The coins are presented in a blue plastic coin wallet with a typewritten label reading MAUNDY 4 – 3 – 2 AND 1 PENCE / 1851 (3 M NOT BE MAUNDY), suggesting the threepence is a standard circulation issue.
