Another Great Auction
A set of silver Maundy coins dated 1841, struck during the reign of Queen Victoria. The collection consists of the fourpence, threepence, twopence, and penny denominations. Each coin features the Young Head portrait of Queen Victoria on the obverse. The reverse of each denomination displays a crowned numeral corresponding to its value, set within an oak wreath. The coins are presented in a red leatherette case with gold-tooled scroll borders and a silk-lined lid interior gold-blocked with the text Maundy Money.
