This lot comprises an assortment of vintage paper ephemera primarily relating to the Japanese National Railways (JNR) and regional Japanese transit lines during the early 1970s. A significant portion of the collection is associated with the JNR Discover Japan tourism campaign, featuring the distinctive red stylized arrow logo on several cards and leaflets. The items include passenger tickets, station admission tickets (nyujoken), express train tickets (kyuko-ken), and commemorative cards. Key geographic and administrative markers include the Shizuoka Railway Administration Bureau (dated November 1972), the Kushiro Railway Administration Bureau (dated 1974), and stations such as Hamamatsu, Harima-Shingu, and Mombetsu. Graphic subjects include steam locomotives such as the 48650-type and D51 class, as well as scenic regional landscapes and regional railway maps. The lot also includes a Metro Line Up card displaying electric rolling stock models with a date stamp of 12 June 1974, and items with references to the Osaka Expo ’70. Transcribed text from the items includes: 1972. 11 Shizuoka Railway Administration Bureau; 1974 Kushiro Railway Administration Bureau; General Admission Ticket Kushiro 10 Yen; and Issued at Hamamatsu Station on a serial-numbered ticket (No. 0300). One small card from the Danish State Railways is also present.
