This Royal Mint presentation set, titled Stages of Production, documents the manufacturing process of the first United Kingdom bi-colour two-pound coin. The set includes a group of numismatic items: a cupro-nickel inner blank, a nickel-brass outer blank, an assembly unit featuring a raised and lettered outer edge with a pierced and grooved inner rim, and a completed trial piece. The trial piece bears the obverse inscriptions ROYAL MINT TRIAL and 1994.
