A pair of commemorative coin presentation packs issued by The Royal Mint in 2018 to mark the centenary of the Royal Air Force. The collection comprises two distinct packs from the official centenary series. The first pack, titled A Symbol of the Skies, houses a bi-metallic £2 coin with a reverse design featuring the Royal Air Force centenary badge and the dual dates 1918-2018. The second pack, titled A Powerful Guardian, contains a bi-metallic £2 coin with a reverse design depicting an Avro Vulcan bomber in flight and the inscription VULCAN. Both coins feature the fifth definitive coinage portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark on the obverse. The coins are held within their original illustrated cardboard presentation folders, which include technical specifications and historical information, each protected by a clear plastic retail sleeve.
