A pair of abstract modernist sculptures hand-carved from mottled, variegated soapstone. The stone displays a natural palette including cream, soft pink, and ochre tones with a smooth, tactile finish. Each figure is rendered in a highly stylized, fluid form with elongated, arching bodies and simplified, featureless heads, rising from integrated circular plinths. One figure features a subtle protrusion suggesting a female form, while the other is more streamlined. The style and material are consistent with soapstone carving traditions from the Kisii region of Kenya. No signatures, maker marks, or edition numbers are visible on either piece.
Height: 20.5 cm.
