This diverse lot features a wide range of subject matter, including travel and hospitality ephemera from establishments such as the Hotel Maurice in San Francisco, El Rancho in West Sacramento, the International Hotel in Los Angeles, and Howard Johnson’s. Aviation-themed items include multiple examples from the Cornwall Aero Club, Helston, depicting various light aircraft and a Spitfire. Commercial advertising is well-represented by Barclays Bank, Embassy filter Virginia cigarettes, and several varieties of Lion Safety Matches. Commemorative pieces include matchbooks produced for the marriage of H.R.H. The Prince of Wales and Lady Diana Spencer on 29th July 1981. Other series include the Quique footballer boxes, Alpine matches, and topographical sets such as El Tambor and La Diosa.
