A collection of vintage and modern memorabilia relating to the Gerry Anderson series Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet. The lot comprises a selection of comic books and magazines, primarily attributed to Fleetway Publications and Redan, including a large format Thunderbirds Holiday Special featuring Thunderbird 2 and various weekly comic issues. Also included is a 1991 issue of Captain Scarlet comic.
The toy component features plastic vehicles associated with the Matchbox and Tyco product lines of the early 1990s, including a large scale Thunderbird 2 model, smaller Thunderbird 1 and Thunderbird 3 rockets, and a pink FAB 1 vehicle. There are three hand-painted plastic character figures, including a depiction of Jeff Tracy and two International Rescue personnel in uniform.
Novelty electronics consist of a pair of cylindrical battery-operated transistor radios with cream-coloured plastic bodies. These feature wraparound comic-style graphics of characters including Scott Tracy, Lady Penelope, and Brains, topped with silver-tone speaker grilles and integrated thumbwheel controls. Two pin-back badges are present, featuring Lady Penelope and Scott Tracy with celebratory text.
