A mid-20th century circular mixed-metal ashtray, featuring a central hammered copper well and applied brass decorative elements. The rim is adorned with three raised and ridged cigarette rests, interspersed with four circular medallions and four almond-shaped foliate plaques. Each circular medallion, including a larger central one, depicts a stylised animal, possibly a bull or ox, accompanied by vertical script identified as Armenian. The outer edge is finished with a continuous repeating geometric or gadrooned border.
