The item is presented in its original black cardboard box featuring gold-toned gothic script lettering to the lid reading The Lamp Cabin and marked MADE IN ENGLAND. The box interior is lined with black velvet. The lamp is constructed from brass and glass, featuring a metal hanging hook at the top. A circular brass badge is riveted to the upper casing, embossed with the text NATIONAL UNION OF MINEWORKERS around its edge. The central motif depicts a colliery winding tower and gear wheel, with the acronym COSA inscribed below the image.
