This lot consists of a Royal Mail Philatelic Numismatic Cover and a strip of commemorative stamps. The Philatelic Numismatic Cover, serial number 08215, is titled DNA Discoveries Celebrating 50 Years: 1953-2003. It features a complete set of five United Kingdom commemorative stamps (SG 2341-2345) with Cambridge circular date stamp cancellations dated 25 February 2003, featuring a fingerprint motif. Inset into the cover is a United Kingdom two-pound coin dated 2003 with the DNA double helix reverse design. Also included is a strip of five 25p commemorative stamps from the United Kingdom 1994 D-Day 50th Anniversary issue (SG 1823-1827). The stamps feature monochrome photographic designs. Both items are housed in protective plastic sleeves.
