The 2008 issue commemorates the Beijing to London Olympic Handover with inscriptions BEIJING 2008, HANDOVER, and LONDON 2012. Obverses feature the fourth portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley with the Latin legends ELIZABETH II D G REG FID DEF. Milled edges with incuse inscriptions are present.
