A pair of vintage silver-tone white metal kilt pin brooches designed in the form of a traditional Scottish dirk, in the style of the maker Mizpah. Each brooch features a circular setting at the head, one containing a faceted amethyst-coloured glass stone and the other a citrine-coloured glass stone. The settings are enclosed by a border of embossed stylised thistle leaves, with a small cast stag head positioned at the junction between the stone setting and the shaft. The tapered blade of the dirk is decorated with embossed geometric diamond patterns and linear hatching. The reverse of each pin is fitted with a long integrated pin and a rollover safety catch.
