A pair of matching entomological display cases of wooden construction with a mahogany-stained finish. Each case features a glazed lid and is secured by two brass hook-and-eye fasteners to the side. One case contains a collection of pinned Lepidoptera specimens, primarily consisting of larger British moth species. Identified specimens include several Garden Tiger moths (Arctia caja), two Eyed Hawk-moths (Smerinthus ocellata), Poplar Hawk-moths (Laothoe populi), a Puss Moth (Cerura vinula), and a Buff-tip (Phalera bucephala), alongside various geometrid and noctuid species. The specimens are pinned onto a white paper-covered base with faint horizontal guide lines. The second case is currently empty and retains the same ruled paper lining. Both cases bear a small white adhesive inventory label printed with the digits 1704. No original scientific locality or date labels are present.
