This lot features two vintage mantel clocks. The first is a Smiths mechanical clock with a dark brown Bakelite or similar phenolic resin case, designed with a rounded top and stepped side profile. The dial is dark brown with gold-toned Arabic numerals and a concentric inner track, inscribed with the maker mark Smiths, 30 Hour, and Made in Great Britain. It is housed behind a silver-toned bezel. The second clock is an unmarked mantel clock in a classic Napoleon hat style, crafted from a stained hardwood. The base is embellished with a row of carved decorative moldings. It has a circular silvered dial with black Arabic numerals and black spade-style hands, protected by a brass-toned bezel and convex glass.
