This lot comprises an assortment of vintage serving trays and a decorative shadow box. The silver-plated metalware includes a large oval tray with a gadrooned outer rim and scalloped internal border; a circular tray with a heavily chased border of floral and foliate scrolls and a scalloped edge; a smaller circular tray with a scalloped rim; and a rectangular tray with integral handles. Also included is a rectangular wooden tray in the Japanese Kamakura-bori style, featuring hand-carved and lacquered floral decoration of peonies in red, yellow, and green against a textured gilded background with black lacquered ends. A mid-century modern tray is constructed with wooden handles, aluminium side rails, and a cream-coloured laminate surface with a textured linen pattern. The collection is completed by a wooden sewing-themed shadow box divided into six compartments, containing various miniature haberdashery items including a model sewing machine, a miniature red dress, spools of thread, and scissors. No hallmarks or maker’s marks are visible on the items.
