A collection of measuring and surveying instruments comprising a graduated set of balance weights and a precision plumb bob. The weight set consists of eight bell-shaped brass weights with ring-top handles, arranged by size within a shaped black-painted cast metal base. Two additional cylindrical brass weights with knob handles are included, one of which is incised with the measurement 1/8 lb. The plumb bob features a solid brass conical body with a knurled screw-cap at the top for line attachment and an inset steel tip for precision.
