This collection features a vintage Airlyne Home Rugmaker and several natural history gramophone records. The rugmaker is contained within its original illustrated cardboard box, which identifies the contents as “The World’s Fastest ‘Airlyne’ Home Rugmaker” with a pre-decimal price of 28’6. The box contains a metal mechanical rug-making tool, a black fabric strap, and a paper instruction insert.
The lot also includes an assortment of gramophone records. Several are from “The Peterson Field Guide to the Bird Songs of Britain and Europe” series published by SR Records, featuring photographic cover art and a “salute to Ludwig Koch”. Also present are two records in brown paper sleeves; one record features a green label for “More Songs of Wild Birds” by Ludwig Koch, published for the BBC.
