A pair of bookends carved from yellow alabaster or marble. Each piece is constructed in an L-shape with a decorative scrolling foliate or cornucopia ornament secured to the interior corner. The stone features natural grey veining against a saturated yellow ground. The scrolling elements are detailed with incised lines along the length. No signatures or manufacturing marks are discernable.
