A late Victorian or Edwardian style decorative pedestal bowl or tazza, designed in the Rococo Revival style. The piece features a shallow, circular ceramic bowl finished with a mottled pink and red crystalline glaze. The bowl is mounted with ornate cast gilt-brass fittings. Two handles are modelled as winged mythical creatures, resembling swans or griffins, with scrolling foliate bodies. The bowl is supported by a tall, flared pedestal base with elaborate openwork scrolling acanthus leaves and floral motifs. A matching decorative gilt-metal boss is fixed to the centre of the bowl interior.
