A traditional garden bench in the classic park-bench style, featuring two decorative cast metal end frames with scrolling arms and cabriole-style legs. The seat and backrest are composed of nine horizontal wooden slats, which are bolted through the metal frames. The bench retains an aged painted finish, currently dark grey over an earlier red layer. This design is a staple of British garden and municipal furniture from the late 19th through the 20th century.
