A 20th-century English oak coffee table by Robert Thompson of Kilburn, North Yorkshire. The piece features a rectangular solid oak top with a hand-adzed finish and rounded corners. The table is supported by a trestle base with two faceted octagonal columns resting on sled feet, connected by a single low-level stretcher. A signature mouse is carved in high relief to one of the faceted uprights.
