A vintage 9ct yellow gold circular openwork pendant charm. The central motif depicts a shepherdess in profile, wearing a bonnet and dress, holding a shepherd’s crook and accompanied by a small lamb. The scene is framed by a circular band featuring a textured bark-effect finish to the exterior. The pendant is fitted with a simple suspension jump ring. The reverse of the central figure is struck with a full set of British hallmarks including the maker’s mark ALW for A.L. Wigley and Son, the crown gold standard mark, the fineness mark 375 for 9-carat gold, the Birmingham anchor assay office mark, and the date letter z for 1974.
