A vintage Smiths decimal minute stopwatch, designed for industrial time-and-motion studies or sports timing. The timepiece features a manual wind mechanical movement housed within a chrome-plated metal case. The dial is finished in a cream colour and exhibits a main outer scale calibrated into 100 units for decimal minute readings, alongside a smaller 30-minute recording sub-dial. The dial is marked Smiths and 1/100th min above the centre, with Made in Gt Britain at the bottom edge. It is equipped with a blued steel main hand and a black sub-dial hand. The case includes a knurled winding crown at the twelve o’clock position and a single top-mounted start/stop/reset pusher, plus a suspension ring for attachment to a lanyard or chain. The original two-piece cardboard box is present.
