A silver necklace featuring an oval pendant set with a cabochon cut Blue John fluorite gemstone. The stone exhibits characteristic natural banding in shades of purple, yellow-amber, and translucent white. It is held within a simple bezel setting with a plain tapered bail. The pendant is suspended from a fine silver trace-link chain. The necklace is secured with a spring-ring clasp. Marks are present on an oval tag near the clasp and on the clasp itself, however, the characters are not clearly legible from the provided images. Blue John is a rare variety of fluorite found specifically in the Treak Cliff Cavern and Blue John Cavern at Castleton, Derbyshire, England.
