A vintage silver pendant featuring a circular cabochon of iridescent blue Morpho butterfly wing. The wing section is set beneath a clear glass cover and held within a silver bezel setting decorated with a milled or beaded edge. The pendant is suspended from a fine curb link chain. The chain is secured with a traditional bolt ring clasp. Indistinct marks are present on the bolt ring and the adjoining jump ring, which are not clearly legible to confirm a specific maker or metal fineness. This style of jewellery was popularized in the United Kingdom during the 1920s and 1930s.
