A lot comprising two religious figurines of mid-to-late 20th-century European style. The first item is a large devotional figure of the Virgin Mary depicted in a kneeling pose with her arms crossed over her chest. It is constructed from hand-painted plaster, commonly referred to as chalkware. The figure is wearing a blue mantle with a gilded border over a cream-coloured tunic and a white head veil, mounted on a green circular base. No maker’s marks are visible. The second item is a smaller, detailed figurative group featuring four cherubs alongside a figure dressed in a white surplice over a red cassock, representing an altar boy or choirboy. This group is set on a rocky, moss-textured base and is composed of a cold-cast resin or composite material with painted finishes.
