A collection of vintage mid-to-late 20th-century advertising water jugs and pitchers, primarily representing prominent British whisky and tobacco brands. The group consists of several glazed ceramic pieces and one moulded glass item. Notable pieces include a pale yellow ceramic pitcher for Grant’s Scotch Whisky featuring the slogan “The stuff that drams are made of” alongside a portrait logo. A white glazed ceramic pitcher with a gold-toned rim carries the Bell’s Scotch Whisky branding with the signature “Afore ye go” script. Also included is a white ceramic pitcher for The Real Mackenzie Scotch Whisky, decorated with a stag’s head emblem, and a small black glazed ceramic jug with a white interior for Castella Cigars. The collection is completed by a clear glass pitcher with vertical ribbing and a blue and white transfer-printed logo for Nelson Tipped Cigarettes. These ceramic items are in the style of those produced by Wade Ceramics for the UK pub trade. Two pieces retain small white auction lot stickers numbered 4738.
