This lot comprises two pieces of hand-thrown studio pottery stoneware, each featuring a pedestal form and hand-painted oxide decoration. The first item is a flared cylindrical vessel on a tapering pedestal foot, displaying prominent throwing rings on both the interior and exterior surfaces. It is finished in a cream-coloured, semi-matte glaze and decorated with hand-painted abstract foliate and linear motifs in green and brown oxides, including a green band around the base. The second item is a pedestal goblet with a rounded cup-shaped body set on a tiered pedestal foot. It features a speckled grey-green glaze and is hand-decorated with a stylised brown moth or butterfly motif between horizontal brown bands. The foot is detailed with concentric brown rings. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible on either piece.
