A lot comprising two mid-to-late 20th-century figural table lamp bases. The first is a hand-carved dark hardwood figure, possibly rosewood or mahogany, depicting a Chinese deity or immortal, likely Shou Lao, holding a staff and a peach. The figure is set upon an integral carved rocky-outcrop base and is topped with a brass-finish bayonet light socket. It is fitted with a beige electrical cord and a white UK three-pin plug. The second item is a glazed porcelain figural lamp depicting a young woman in a white dress with blue trim holding a bouquet of pink roses. She stands beside a column modelled as a gnarled tree trunk which forms the lamp stem. The piece is finished in a pale palette and is topped with a black plastic bayonet light socket, fitted with a white electrical cord featuring an integrated in-line on/off switch and a white UK three-pin plug. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible on either item.
