A UK silver Maundy two pence coin dated 1864. The reverse features a crowned numeral 2 at the centre, flanked by the split date 18 and 64, all contained within a tied wreath of oak leaves. The coin is struck in sterling silver (.925 fineness). The surface exhibits multi-coloured iridescent toning with shades of violet, blue, and gold. Maundy coins are traditionally minted for distribution by the British monarch on Maundy Thursday.
