A small cast bronze sculpture after the original composition ‘The Kiss’ (Le Baiser) by Auguste Rodin. The work depicts a nude male and female figure in an embrace, seated upon an integral base with a roughly worked, rocky texture. The surface of the bronze has a tactile finish and is coated in a dark brownish-black patina. The side of the base is impressed with a two-line stamp reading BRONZE and MINNEDRAGER. The sculpture exhibits prominent green verdigris oxidation within the recesses and textured areas.
