A vintage Russian lacquer box from the Fedoskino factory, hand-painted on a papier-mâché base. The lid features a traditional autumn landscape with birch trees and a body of water, utilising mother-of-pearl inlay beneath the paint layers to create a shimmering effect in the sky and background. The scene is framed by a decorative gold scrollwork border on a black ground. The lid is signed in Cyrillic in the upper right corner Комаров (Komarov) and inscribed vertically on the right edge Федоскино (Fedoskino).
