This lot comprises three glazed ceramic figurines. The first is a Wade character figure of Weasel from Kenneth Grahame’s The Wind in the Willows, depicted wearing a red fez and a dark brown satchel while standing on a circular green base. The base is marked with The Wind in the Willows, © EHS 2000, and Weasel, along with the Wade Made in England logo for the Official International Wade Collectors Club. The second is a Wade figurine titled Sam, designed by Mabel Lucie Attwell, depicting a young boy in a yellow jumper walking a blue-grey dog. The base is fully marked Wade Made in England, Sam, and Mabel Lucie Attwell, and is noted as a limited edition of 750, dated 2004. The third item is a standing donkey or foal figurine finished in a mottled grey and brown high-gloss glaze. This piece is unmarked but is in the style of mid-20th-century British animal figurines such as those produced by Beswick or Wade.
