A collection of three hand-painted glazed porcelain bird figurines, each depicted in a naturalistic pose upon a foliate or branch-form base. The first figurine portrays a kingfisher with characteristic blue, orange, and white plumage perched on a pale green branch. The second figurine depicts a bird with a bright yellow head and breast and brown streaked wings, resembling a yellowhammer, set upon a leafy base. The third figurine shows a brown and buff feathered bird, possibly a sparrow or dunnock, in a dynamic pose with its wings partially unfurled. The style of modelling and polychrome decoration is consistent with mid-20th-century European ceramic production, such as that by Goebel or Beswick. No maker’s marks, model numbers, or artist signatures are visible on the exterior of the pieces.
