This lot features two items of Guinness-themed breweriana. The first is a framed promotional print based on a 1940 advertisement by John Gilroy. The illustration depicts a Supermarine Spitfire with RAF roundels and a pilot reaching for a bottle of Guinness, accompanied by the slogan My Goodness My GUINNESS in red text. The print is presented in a modern black frame with a silver-toned beaded inner slip and glass protection. The second item is a barrel-shaped tankard constructed from white glazed pottery, featuring three raised horizontal bands at the base. The front displays a printed Guinness Extra Stout logo for St. James’s Gate, Dublin, which includes the harp device, Est. 1759, Brewer’s Source 1821, and red XX markings.
