A large contemporary solid pine wardrobe designed in a traditional country style. The piece is constructed in two sections for ease of transport, comprising a four-door upper carcass sitting upon a two-drawer base. The exterior is finished in a warm brown stain and wax, while the interior and drawer linings show the natural light colour of the wood. Each of the four doors features two raised-and-fielded panels and is mounted on external metal butt hinges with magnetic catches to the interior. The base section contains two wide, deep drawers constructed with machine-cut dovetail joints. The piece is fitted with turned wooden mushroom-shaped knobs throughout. The interior is fitted with a single full-width brass-toned metal hanging rail. The back is constructed from vertical tongue-and-groove pine boards. The wardrobe is finished with a simple projecting cornice at the top and a solid plinth base.
