A limited edition ceramic decanter of Bell’s Extra Special Old Scotch Whisky, released for Christmas 2003 as part of the Great Scottish Inventors series. The white ceramic bell-shaped decanter features a central portrait of the Scottish biologist Sir Alexander Fleming, flanked by the dates 1881 and 1955. The body is decorated with gold-toned bands, including one with the brand name in red serif font and a lower band incised with the series title Great Scottish Inventors. The whisky is aged for 8 years. The item is accompanied by its original cardboard presentation box which confirms the volume of 70cl and an alcohol by volume of 40 per cent.
