A Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS) award group consisting of a bronze medal, a matching bronze-coloured openwork badge, and the original presentation case. The circular bronze medal features an obverse design depicting a rescue scene with the text ROYAL LIFE SAVING SOCIETY ESTABLISHED 1891. The reverse bears a central circular field officially engraved AWARDED TO C. BOATH APRIL 1934. The outer border contains the Latin motto QUEMCUNQUE MISERUM VIDERIS HOMINEM SCIAS, which translates as Whomsoever you see in distress, recognise in him a fellow man. The medal is suspended from a blue and white striped fabric ribbon. The bronze-coloured openwork badge is formed of the letters RLSS. The group is housed in its original green textured leatherette presentation case. The lid is gold-stamped with the Royal Life Saving Society crest. The interior features a silk and velvet lining.
