The reverse shows a classical female figure holding a laurel wreath, standing before a rising sun. The reverse is engraved with the name C.M. BOATH and the year 1935. It is further marked with the word SILVER and the maker’s mark JAW & Co. The medal is suspended from its original blue and white striped silk ribbon, which features a blue enamel and metal clasp inscribed with the letters R.L.S.S. The item is accompanied by its original red textured presentation case, which bears a gilt society crest on the lid.
