A vintage railway signal lantern, likely of continental European origin, repurposed as a standing electric table lamp. The lantern is constructed from black-painted metal with a square-form body and a cylindrical ventilated chimney section. It features a wire bale handle and a large circular aperture containing a white-enamelled internal reflector. One side of the body displays a painted signal pattern consisting of a red and yellow diagonal cross. The rear retains its original mounting brackets. The lantern has been converted for domestic use and is fitted with a white PVC two-core cable and a European-style two-pin plug.
