This lot comprises two mid-20th-century wooden mantel clocks. The first clock features a circular dial marked Smiths Jewels, Made in England. The wooden case displays an Art Deco-influenced design with a stepped and curved base. The dial is protected by glass and features two-tone wood veneers with a scalloped inner border, brass Roman numerals at the cardinal points, and brass stud markers for the remaining hours. The second clock is designed in the mid-century modern style with a shield-shaped wooden case. The circular dial has a silvered outer chapter ring with Arabic numerals at the 12, 3, 6, and 9 positions, and a metallic, radiated sunburst textured centre. It is fitted with tapered gold-toned hands.
