A collection of maritime research and naval history ephemera housed in three albums and folders. The first folder is a clear plastic ring-binder containing ship modelling research and correspondence, featuring a handwritten letter on Buckler’s Hard Maritime Museum letterhead and a prospectus from Bassett-Lowke Ltd. of Northampton for a 1/4 inch scale model of the American Sloop of War Hartford. This folder also includes detailed hand-drawn technical sketches and instructional notes for ship model construction, covering diagrams for framing, keelsons, and jackstays, some with small components attached. Stationery from Richard Hunter of Sheffield is also included. The second item is a square, blue cloth-bound album with a gold-tooled naval crown and the title Royal Navy. It contains original black and white photographs of Royal Navy vessels, including HMS Urchin (hull number F433), naval personnel, and press clippings related to the 1947 Royal Tour to South Africa on HMS Vanguard. The third item is a large blue textured ring-binder containing further research material and plans related to the maritime archive.
