A collection of Japanese eggshell porcelain tea wares comprising two distinct hand-painted landscape patterns. The first 21 piece set is decorated in polychrome overglaze enamels and gilt, featuring a traditional village landscape with Mount Fuji, cherry blossoms, and bamboo foliage. The teacups in this set contain a geisha girl lithophane visible in the base when held to the light. The second 21 piece set is decorated in a monochrome blue palette depicting a snowy mountainous landscape with Mount Fuji. Both sets are of eggshell porcelain construction, characterized by their thin, translucent walls. No maker marks or factory backstamps are visible on the pieces. These sets are characteristic of Japanese export porcelain produced during the mid-20th century.
