A collection of twentieth-century English ceramic items, comprising assorted studio and art pottery. The group features a small cylindrical studio pottery vase with horizontal banded decoration in teal, blue, and orange accented with black geometric patterns, hand-signed SOWERBY to the base. Also included is a pale green earthenware jug of squat form with horizontal ribbing and a D-shaped handle, bearing the incised mark 79/3 and a blue MADE IN ENGLAND backstamp to the underside. The collection contains a pair of stoneware studio jugs with a matte pale blue exterior glaze, decorated with applied butterfly motifs and contrasting terracotta-coloured interiors; the larger jug is incised with the character S to the base. Completing the group is a large, bulbous earthenware vase with a stepped neck, finished in a variegated blue and honey-amber drip glaze, and a stoneware vase with a ruffled, flared rim hand-painted with stylised botanical designs in earthy tones.
